Firefox refresh removed bookmarks. I can't seem to import them now.

I followed your instructions for restoring my bookmarks from the folder created before Firefox refreshed. It does not make my bookmarks reappear. I followed your instructions three times with no success.

Sorry to hear about this problem. I assume you are working with the contents of the Old Firefox Data folder on your desktop.

When you are looking at the available files inside your old profile folder in the bookmarkbackups subfolder, do they seem to have a high enough bookmark count? That's encoded in the file name:

bookmarks-2017-06-02_5842_gibberish==.jsonlz4

In that example, there are 5842 bookmarks and folders in the file.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.

If the Places Maintenance extension can't repair the places.sqlite database then remove all places.sqlite file(s) in the Firefox profile folder to make Firefox rebuild the places.sqlite database from the most recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
