firefox is running but the browser does not open (Windows 10). Task manager shows that firefox is running. Firefox version 59.0.1 (64 bit). This happens occasionally. After running in safe mode firefox is back.

Chosen solution

Hi, open Task Manager and End Task. Copy your profile out. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data Go to uninstall and uninstall Firefox. If does not uninstall, End Task again. Use https://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html to uninstall. Or can try installing over top. Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 59.0.2 with a Full Version Installer

then https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recovering-important-data-from-an-old-profile

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
