Thunderbird Beta: Search function in Google IMAP acct/folders not returning complete results.

more options

I have confirmed that TB Beta is not indexing or returning complete search results. For example, an email received at 10:18am today does not return when searching the author.

I have attempted this fix without success: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/rebuilding-global-database

how big is global-messages-db.sqlite in your profile directory?

more options

Thanks for replying.

I've now confirmed that when I close Thunderbird and reboot it, after an undetermined amount of time, it finally indexes those messages for search.

However, new messages are not indexed automatically.

global-messages-db.sqlite is currently 596 MB.

I have seen random reports of this. (And in the fall I had trouble myself)

Does anything relevant appear in Activity Manager or Error Console?

And if you install the "normal" release version, does the problem go away? https://getthunderbird.com/

Nothing in Activity Manager. Error Console below:

uncaught exception: 2147746065 autosync.js:206:13 uncaught exception: 2147746065 autosync.js:206:13 uncaught exception: 2147746065 autosync.js:206:13 uncaught exception: 2147746065 autosync.js:206:13 uncaught exception: 2147746065 autosync.js:206:13 uncaught exception: 2147746065 autosync.js:206:13 Error: WebGL warning: Disallowing antialiased backbuffers due to blacklisting. P.S. It's not feasible for me to install a non-beta build, set it up, and test it. Is there anyway to directly report the bug to the beta team?
