Is there a way I can add Emoji's to Thunderbirds chat conversations?

Hi, I already downloaded the emoji plugin that adds emoji's to email messages. But, I would really like to be able to add emoji's in the CHAT section. When I CHAT with my employees, it really helps set a cheerful tone to conversations. Is this possible?

Hi there arachela.

As of Thunderbird 15, Thunderbird supports instant messaging. To use Chat, you must first create a new account with an online instant messaging or chat provider. Thunderbird Chat currently works with IRC, Facebook, XMPP, Twitter and Google Talk. The setup process is very similar for each.

What kind of chat program do you use with your /employees/colleagues at the moment? I mean which chat programs have you installed in thunderbird with which you communicate with your colleagues?

I installed Google Hangouts with Thunderbird. That was simple and isn't my problem. I want to be able to use emojis in chat the way I would in other chat programs. Is there a plugin or extension that I can add to Thunderbird that will put emojis in my chats easily?

There is an Emoji add-on listed on the 'Add-ons for Chat/IM' page, but there's no indication it works for anything besides email messages, and I'm unable to test it.

Hi there

we have tried to investigate this for you. We have had enough good innovations in the latest updates for Thunderbird Firefox.

But this subject is still not allowed. Do not use something iligaals if they tell you to do it, it could damage it. how much fun it could be.

Maybe in the next version. Perhaps there were rumors among themselves.
