Looking for a way to keep specific cookies from a site permanent.
Hello,
I've been using the 2-step verification method with my Gmail account and , having set cookies' lifetime to session only, wanted to keep the setting that allows my PC to log in without checking the smartphone every time.
First I thought to add an entry to the exception list with the accounts.google.com domain, but I want to log in my account with my password whenever I restart Firefox so that's a no go.
So I was thinking that if I kept the specific cookie from accounts.google.com that identifies my PC as a trusty device (which I believe is called SMSV) then that would be it, though perhaps its not that simple. In any case, if that was indeed a solution, how would you guys select only a few cookies from the same site in Firefox? Is it possible?

I think there are one or more extensions designed to retain certain critical cookies even if they are normally cleared. I haven't tried any of them myself and there are so many cookie extensions that I can't remember the name(s).
Ok, I was hoping that there was some built-in feature for this. I'll look for some extensions then. Thank you anyways.
The built-in feature can keep cookies for a site (Manage Permissions), but not as specific as particular cookies for a site.
