How to get Thunderbird to display full subject line in e-mail list?

Even though I have adjusted the column width to provide ample space for Thunderbird to display the full subject line in e-mail lists, it cuts off those subject lines with four dot-dot-dots after a specific number of letters (about twenty, I think). I am receiving and sending a lot of e-mails pertaining to legal matters, and I need to see the full subject line, which is often quite long.

Is there any way I can force Thunderbird to display the full subject line without cutting it off?

Thanks,

Dandelion

Which layout do you have, under View/Layout? TB will not wrap the Subject in the Threads Pane, but it does display the full subject when you hover on Subject. Try reducing the columns to just Subject, From and Date, and resize the column widths by clicking and dragging the column dividers. It's also possible to reduce the font of the Threads Pane with userChrome.css.
