Bookmarks are now separated into 2 groups
I am using version 98.0.2. When I open my "manage bookmarks" folder on my iMac, I see a top set of bookmarks and a bottom set of bookmarks. I never separated these 2 groups. They are all my original bookmarks. Why are there now 2 separate groups?

In what root folder(s) are those bookmarks ?
There are three bookmarks root folders in the All Bookmarks folder where you can create new bookmarks and new folders.
- the "Bookmarks Toolbar" folder stores the bookmarks that you see on the Bookmarks Toolbar (Firefox -> Options or View -> Toolbars)
- the "Bookmarks Menu" folder stores bookmarks that show in the Bookmarks menu drop down list
- the "Other Bookmarks" folder (previously named "Unsorted Bookmarks") stores bookmarks that are created by clicking the star on the location bar and in current releases also bookmarks created otherwise (right-click context menu and Bookmarks menu)

Can you provide a screenshot? If you need to use Firefox to take screenshots, this article explains that. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/take-screenshots-firefox
