Trying to set up 2 part authentication for a macbook pro and I get the following message:

Scan this QR code using one of these authentication apps Opens in new window. Use the code ⁨IRZWQSZVKBYGIR3TKY4HMNLHMFAUSMSO⁩ to set up two-step authentication in supported applications. Now enter the security code from the authentication app.

I need to know what an authentication app is and where I get one to use with a laptop. Thanks

If you do not have a mobile device where you can install an authenticator app then you can install an extension in Firefox for desktop that can generate the TOTP code.
