I'm using Thunderbird 102.10.1 64 Bit on Windows 10 Pro 10.0.19044 build 19044 & Thunderbird has become very slow & unresponsive when I'm using it. Everything has slowed down: typing is very bad, opening & closing windows, sending message, receiving messages.

I have already tried shutting off global search & indexer and hardware acceleration, but that hasn't helped. I've tried uninstalling it completely & then reinstalling it as well. I have no extensions or add-ons installed, either. This started happening within the last few weeks.

Is there something I'm missing?

Thanks!

Does problem go away?

Yes, the lag with typing went away. The lag with sending did not.

Thank you.

I already wrote it here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1412450 Something seem to have changed with one of the last Thunderbird updates and so the Windows Defender is very active with every action done in Thunderbird. My guess is, that File-Access have changed in one of the last updates and so the Windows Defender is active whenever Thunderbird will access a file.
