When i close Firefox with only the app tabs open, my homepage pops up in normal tabs even though in my settings i have it set to "when Firefox starts:" "show my windows and tabs from last time" why does my home page pop up? make it stop!

If you do not want to see the Home page or other pages from the previous session then use

  • Firefox (Tools) > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show a blank page"

You can use Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session if you want to restore that session.

That leaves 2 problems. When you do that and open up Firefox again all the regular tabs are gone. I want them to pop back up when i open Firefox again. and it also opens a blank page instead of just the app tabs.

But when I use the option "show my windows and tabs from last time" and close the window with just app tabs open, it opens with app the app tabs which is good but it also comes up with my home page. I just want it to look EXACTLY like I closed it.
