How do I use the Home Button?

more options

System Information:

Windows XP SP3, Firefox 4.0.1, and Internet Explorer 8.

I have four home page tabs in Firefox, and four home page tabs in IE.

When I click the home button in Firefox, I get eight home page tabs.

When I click the home button in Internet Explorer, I get only the original four tabs, all refreshed.

I want to accomplish the same in Firefox when I click the home button - the four home page tabs refreshed, not a total of eight tabs.

You should only have 7 tabs in that situation. Firefox will reload one of the open tabs when you hit the Home button, and than load the 2nd and subsequent homepage tabs in new tabs. Doesn't make any sense to me, but Firefox has been like that since multiple homepage tabs were introduced like 6 or 7 years ago.

You'll have to look for an extension which changes that action to the way IE does it, if an extension like that even exists.
