What happened to the back and forward drop down arrows? I have a hard time holding the button down and getting it on the right page. With only 5 items the bookmarks toolbar takes up half of the bar, and half of that space is blank (???) I want to shorten that to eliminate the empty space and Especially do not like being unable to shorten the address bar that stretches all the way across the screen. Sorry for ranting but these things irritate me to the extent I will no longer load Firefox on puters I fix, and will myself find a different browser. TY

You can look at this extension:

A possibility is to drag the "Bookmarks Toolbar Item" from the Bookmarks Toolbar onto the Navigation Toolbar in Customize mode.

Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
