After firefox crashes and I select restore it restarts with all the open tabs at the time of the crash but also reloads what looks like a spam tab that I never had open.

Here is the URL of the tab that comes up on a restore

Don't know if this is something in FF or some malware I picked up somehow. In any case it has attached it self to FF I would love to see it gone.

Chosen solution

I guess its because of Easy YouTube Video Downloader add-on. Question is if it only shows its homepage... Anyway, I do not like this behaviour so Im considering uninstalling it.

@TomaszP Is your Easy YouTube Video Downloader add-on working fine ?? I read on some threads that this add-on stopped working recently.. it was also causing some problems on Youtube like Videos not loading etc. See this post:

Check and tell if its working.

It's not my home page that all works fine. It only happens on a crash-restore FF.

No errors, YouTube works fine and I'm able to download videos without any trouble. FF: 4.0.1, E.Y.V.D: 5.3

Thanks! I did not know that my Youtube downloader was same as the tab, but I just checked as it show the URL of the tab I get. So that has to be it.

That is really sneaky, to put this on the crash restore with "SuccessMozilla".

The page asks you for personal info too, name, email, age, etc...........

Why can't they just be honest!

Im not sure about it, I haven't checked it yet but this extra tab is not opened each time after crash-restore. Maybe only when you've been watching youtube while FF crashed??

Well I just tried it and it worked perfectly. Still, when people pull stuff like this it makes you wonder what else they have hidden in their products..........

Not that I can tell. It seems to be there on every crash-restore which happens to me about twice a week if I don't close and restart FF every other day or so.

I know where it comes form now and knowing is half the battle. So I'll have to decide how much tolerance I have it Vs the downloader.
