I have tried to download firefox 3 times and each time it says the download is complete after 7MB, and when I try to install I get "file is corrupt", what is going on?

I just reinstalled Windows 7 and my Norton 360. There is nothing else installed on the computer. I was using IE 8. When I ask to download the file, it says it is 13+ MB, but when it finishes I get only 7+MB of the file.

It is possible that your anti-virus software is corrupting the downloaded files or otherwise interfering with downloading files by Firefox.

Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

See "Disable virus scanning in Firefox preferences - Windows"
