The web site "www.dailythanthi.com" requires the Tamil font ELANGO-TML-Panchali-Normal (True Type), for displaying its content properly in Tamil language. This font is already installed in the Windows (Vista) Fonts file of the Control Panel. But the web site does not display the information in proper Tamil fonts, but displays only garbage. How can I make use of this installed font to get the web site display the information in proper Tamil font?

Do you see that ELANGO-TML-Panchali-Normal font as one of the fonts in Options > Content (second section further down) to be sure that Firefox found hat font?

Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

A billion thanks, cor-el, for your prompt and most straight forward solutions, which worked like cake walks !!! This solved a problem, which has been nagging me for months.

Also, I learnt, how I can set up the required fonts for other such situations from your first solutions.

Many, many thanks and regards.
