In mozilla firefox, amount of RAM consumption keeps on increasing depending on the number of web pages opened in different tabs. Even if i close the tab or web pages the ram consumption doesn't decrease. Why ?

Due to this, my system slows down due to decrease in the available RAM

What other solution is there to this problem, other than closing all firefox windows and their tabs simultaneously ?

Hi nunkashta1,

Have you looked at our performance troubleshooting section? There is a lot of good information in there that should help. It might not address your specific question about closing a window, but there is a lot of information in there on troubleshooting memory issues.

Hopefully this helps!
