My home page Mozilla search bar does not do anything. I press enter or click the search bar and nothing happens. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

On my Mozilla home page, the search bar does not work. I've pressed enter and nothing happens. I've clicked the search button and nothing happens. Other search bars work, however I need the Mozilla google search associated with the home page as part of my projects. Can ayone help me out?

Try to reset some preferences to the default with the SearchReset extension:

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).

You may have to close and restart Firefox if the about:home page is involved.
