When I drag and drop folders to rearrange them in bookmarks I get a copy instead of just a move. I have had the same problem elsewhere in Firefox. How can I set the drag effect from copy to move for all my drag and drops in Firefox?

Chosen solution

Thanks for your reply. I think there was a corruption. Solution was to completely uninstall, reinstall without bookmarks, import bookmarks from HTML, use a sidebar add on other than all in one. Now it is working as it should and I am organized.

That is odd. Try once more with a test item. But this time do it this way; Start to move the item, but do not release it. Press the <Shift> key, see what happens, then press the <Control> key and see what happens. Let us know how it went.

Now when I try to rearrange the folder order nothing happens at all. In IE you can easily rearrange the folders by d&ding them into the order you want. Doesn't Firefox do this?

BTW, the folders are all imported from IE. They rearranged into alphabetical order during the import. Now I can't get them back into the order I want.

You may have to hold down the Shift key when dragging folders to make this work.
