How do I rename the bookmarks folder "Unsorted Bookmarks"? or add a folder on that level?
Using Windows8 Firefox EU euballot - 1.1. Trying to rename bookmarks folder "Unsorted Bookmarks"? or add a folder on that level?. I tried the suggestions in the forum (ie. ctrl shift B); accessing the folder via Library; all no luck.
When trying to add a new folder on the same level as the "Unsorted Bookmarks" folder, the new folder appears in the "Unsorted Bookmarks" folder and not on the same level.
Something I missed? Thanks for any suggestions.
Chosen solution
I don't recommend doing that. IIRC, users have mentioned that when that folder was renamed, when they started Firefox a new "Unsorted Bookmarks" folder was automatically created.

"Unsorted Bookmarks" is a "smart folder", and at its' own "level".
Thanks the-edmeister.
So it looks like I won't be able to add a personal bookmarks folder at the same level as "Unsorted Bookmarks".
How about renaming it? Any chance to do that?

Thanks the-edmeister. The ideal solution would be that the name of that folder could be changed to my heart's content but some tech whizz-kids decided against that.
I appreciate the time you've taken to help a lay-person somewhere on the globe try resolve their frustartion. You've succeeded. Thanks.

That's nothing new. It has been that way since Firefox 3.0.
The procedure for Renaming a Book Mark folders...Especially, the ones that end up the "New Folder" title.
Solution I use is to: Click on Bookmarks to open it. Then right-click on the folder you want to rename. Look for properties and left-click on properties. Type the desired name for the folder. Click the Save button which closes the properties window and your problem folder should show up with it's new name.
