How do I eliminate l.yimg.com interference from Firefox?

When calling up videos on my Yahoo homepage in Firefox, a small window lodges in the center of the video window titled 'Adobe Flash Player Settings.' The next line states 'Local Storage' followed by the statement "l.yimg.com is requesting permission to store information on your computer." My research indicates that l.yimg.com is a browser hijacker.

I suspect the l.yimg.com that you are seeing, is a content delivery URL that is asking for permission to use 'Local Storage' for the purpose of playing the content that you want to load. I see that l.yimg.com on Yahoo and some other webpages, but haven't in the context of watching videos from Yahoo linked on other web sites, which rarely has any content that interests me. My feeling is that l. yimg .com stands for Yahoo images = yimg.
