When I open an e-mail in Thunderbird and read it, then close Thunderbird, next time I open it, the e-mail has disappeared.

All my inbox of read e-mails has gone, all that's left is 2 weeks in June, showing them as unread. This is not correct, as I have read all my old e-mails. Thanks
