Do you have a display that shows you the download in progress?

What is the web address the problem is at?

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for Download Managers.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift (Mac Options) > key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

You can check the Downloads folder in the Downloads Manager (Library) for unfinished downloads.

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js file in the Firefox profile folder that store session data. You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).
