i cant log into my email,keeps telling me my password failed

I changed my password because I was told that it was invalid. istill cant log in to my email account as program tells me password is invalid

Assuming you can go to your providers web mail page and your log in works there, follow this to remove the stored password in Thunderbird.https://kb.wisc.edu/page.php?id=19006
