I am able to access secure websites but then unable to access non-secure websites... This is the message I get. Internet is working fine and other devices are able to access non-secure websites, so I need a way to override this or change something in my settings. This is happening on all web browsers but I haven't found an explanation anywhere yet.

What security software do you have?

Did you try to disable security software in case it only allows security connections?

I don't know what security I have... How do I check and then potentially disable that software? I have a Macbook pro laptop...

I just figured it out. My firewall was turned off and I turned it back on under Preferences->Security and Privacy. Everything is working now.
