how do I copy bookmarks from Mozilla on WIndows 10 to a Mac Pro

I now have a Mac Pro and would like to copy my bookmarks from my Windows 10 PC to the new Mac Pro but have not been able to export/import them. Is there a secret to doing this?

Firefox has two different formats. I suggest creating files in both formats to transfer from your Windows box to your Mac.

(1) Backup format (JSON data). See: Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer

(2) Export format (HTML page). See: Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks

On the Mac side, try restoring the backup file first, and then try export if needed.

(1) Restore: Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer

(2) Import: Import Bookmarks from an HTML file

Hopefully that will cover it!
