FireFox doesn't receive the input of my microphone
I am using discord on firefox (can't quite use it on any other browser/the app) and for some reason no one can hear me and I can't hear about half the people in the call. I already asked discord support for a solution and they said it was a problem in firefox. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Have you tried this on Page Info : click on the 'i' in a circle, next to the padlock at the left side of the address bar. Then click on the little black arrow on the dropdown and then on 'More Information'. Click on 'Permissions' and scroll down to 'Use the Microphone'. Here you uncheck 'Use Default' and check 'Allow'.
The settings were already like that. I've used Firefox for about 3 months with everything working, but now I can still see the green circle on discord (which means im talking) but no one can hear me.
In your original post you say :
" can't quite use it on any other browser "
Which means that Discord gave you the wrong information, saying that this is a problem in Firefox, don't you think ?
That's a problem with discord and some other stuff yes, but since I can't fix that I must use Firefox. The discord support said: Just to give you a heads up, this issue with voice chat issues with the Firefox browser is currently a known issue that is on our team's radar. The team is currently looking into it but it looks like the issue is with Firefox itself, however, I sadly don't have an exact ETA for when a solution will be available.
I went to search some more, trying to find anything that might point in the direction of a solution, and I came across this :
https://support.discordapp.com/hc/en-us/articles/204392448-How-do-I-enable-my-mic-in-Firefox-
It says : updated 5 days ago
Well, you can tell Discord that they should update their Firefox, cause 'about:permissions' doesn't even exist anymore .....
And in the mean time you can't voice chat .....
There's only one thing that I can think of that you might want to check :
3-bar menu (or 'Tools') => Options => Privacy & Security
Under 'Permissions' => Microphone => Settings
I really don't know what else to suggest, and I can only hope that somebody else will come to your rescue and come up with the perfect solution for you.
'Couldn't let it go just yet ....
Your system detais show that your Flash is up to date - would you check this, please :
3-bar menu => Add-ons => Plugins
Make sure that Shockwave Flash is set to 'Always Activate'
