I selected FIX slowness, all my bookmarks and frequented sites visited are gone???? What happened???

A message came up stating that FireFox was loading slowly, to fix this issue, Click on displayed link. (Upon completion, all your bookmarks, etc. would be restored!!), this did not happen, all my Book Marks are gone, the Frequently Visited Sites link is gone from the upper left hand corner of the page. Does Anyone Have A Solution. A lot of saved information is gone now.

Hi there, to restore this information - make sure on your desktop there is a folder called 'Old Firefox Data' if so, open it, press ctrl + a, right click and select cut, then in Firefox head to about:profiles, click on Open File under the local directory, then right click in the folder and select paste.

Restart Firefox, and the data that is missing should now be restored.

If this solved your problem please mark as solution.

Hi The-Deacon, do you have an Old Firefox Data folder on your desktop? If so, I wrote a more detailed step-by-step version of Mkll's suggested solution here: I did a Reset of Firefox - How do i get add my 'Old firefox data' back? That's from the days of Firefox 55, but the general method remains the same.
