Thunderbird Ver 60.5.2 Running on Win 7 Pro

Problem = This morning I was trying to send an EMAIL from QUICKEN.

I created an invoice in Quicken and then hit "send email"

As soon as Quicken tried to send the EMAIL I got a message from Thunderbird that said something along the lines of:

"An external APP is trying to access Thunderbird"

"Notify each time this happens"

I click "no"

The Warning box closed BUT the email did NOT send.

Now every time I try and send a NEW email from QUICKEN and use Thunderbird as the email client, nothing happens.

No window opens, no message comes us, nothing....

What setting in Thunderbird to I need to access / change in order for it to ALLOW outside apps to access Thunderbird and allow them to send email VIA the Thunderbird client?

Many thanks!!

This is the EXACT message I got:

Another application is attempting to send mail using your user profile. Are you sure you want to send mail?

I found a way to turn back ON the "warning"

BUT - Now what happens is that Thunderbird just sends the email WITHOUT giving me the option to edit the title / content / signature / ect

It used to open a NEW window with the EMAIL I was about to send and let me edit it if needed BEFORE sending it out

How do I fix this?

Thx

This is a bug in the newest release. There are dozens of post about this over the last 2 days. You can look through these posts for solutions but the common fix seems to be go back to an older version until they fix the bug.
