Disappearing Tabs

My tabs disappear when I go from my Inbox to Calendar. I did find a button which seems to toggle me between the current window and the last window I was in. However, if I go from Inbox-to->Calendar-to->Tasks I am no longer able to get back to my Inbox. As a work around I found that I could go to Help-->What's New and then my tabs reappear. Is this a bug? a feature? Can I just make the tabs stay somehow? I am on Thunderbird 60.8.0

Lightning comes bundled with Thunderbird, so I'm wondering if something went wrong in an update.

OR whether you have other addons that are causing a conflict.

Are you using the default theme ? If no then please change theme to default and restart Thunderbird and test results.

Do you have other addon extensions? If yes: Disable one at a time, restart Thunderbird and test result. Obviously do not disable Lightning.

If no extension issue and using default theme, suggest you uninstall Thunderbird program. Then download a fresh version from link below and install. Choose preferred language and download for your OS.
