How to I delete all bookmarks in Firefox for Android?

Hi,

I've got lots of bookmarks that need to be deleted. Unfortunately, these are stuck in the root of Mobile Bookmarks, so it's not as simple as just deleting the folder they are in to remove them.

Is there a way to delete all bookmarks in Firefox Mobile, or to multiselect bookmarks at the very least, ideally select all in the currently viewed folder? Pressing and holding and then choosing Remove from the popup context menu on several hundred bookmarks is an absurd task to give a user.

You could use a Firefox Account to sync to another copy of Firefox (such as on a desktop or laptop computer), and delete your bookmarks there. The bookmarks on your phone will then get removed via Sync. Make sure to create a new profile on your desktop or laptop computer for this, so that no existing bookmarks will be messed up there.

Actually, no. It's from the desktop that these bookmarks come from actually. For whatever reason, bookmarks will sync from the phone, to the desktop, and from the desktop to the phone, but deletions and moves do not propagate.

I'm using Firefox because my desktop browser of choice is still working on releasing a mobile (fortunately coming soon). So I sync to my desktop to get the bookmarks I create on mobile, then import those into my primary browser where I then sort them into the correct locations. At which point I blow away all the bookmarks on my desktop Firefox and import all my bookmarks from my primary browser. That will sync to the mobile Firefox, but I have to delete them all on the phone manually in order to not have have a mess the next time I want to import from my primary browser. And I have to delete any bookmarks I create on my mobile because the move from Mobile to Other Bookmarks on my desktop Firefox (so they can import into my primary) doesn't sync to the mobile Firefox either.
