I have downloaded Firefox and though I have it in English the options are all in Greek. I want to have this fixed, but as I've searched no one has posted anything that goes for my case. Please help.

Hello Metallicaki,

Did you download Firefox in English from here (?) :

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

If so, would you try to start Firefox with the -purgecaches command
line switch - see the last comment in this bug report :

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1564998

Also see : https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Command_Line_Options

Any difference ?

(edit : typo)

No difference, i do get this message though when trying to run the command. And yes I downloaded it from there, but there seems to be no difference in this.

Hi, try installing an English Language Pack https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/language-tools/

You might need to restart Firefox to enable it.

Did you close Firefox first (see the comment in the bug report) ?

Try to add the full path to the Firefox installation folder.

  • "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -purgecaches
  • (64-bit Firefox) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
  • (32-bit Firefox) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"

You can also consider to install the en-US Firefox version.

You can find the full version of the current Firefox release (74.0) in all languages and all operating systems here:
