App links are going to Playstore instead of launching the app

When we have a Whatsapp API or Telegram T.Me link the expected behavior is to launch the installed app as it happens in other browsers installed on Android. However Firefox is navigating to Google Play Store. It looks like detecting the installed app and/or interacting with the installed apps is flawed with Firefox for Android and/or failing.

Hi Deepak

I recomend that you try the new Firefox Preview browser and look in Settings for the option to open links in apps.

Most of our development work is curently focussed on Firefox Preveiw and as this is looking like it will be the future of Firefox on the Android platform.
