I have a search toolbar and an adress bar.

I want to use the adress bar for url only, as pasting a url into it activates the search engine. I did set keyword.url to false etc. but no results.

win7, firefox 82.0.3

Note that the correct name of the pref is keyword.enabled.

Did you check the search settings in "about:preferences#search" ?

If you disable all search engines then you shouldn't see search engines prompted.
