secure connection failed with adguard

Ive been using Firefox Beta and AdGuard for months with zero issues. This morning out of nowhere it started saying secure connection failed no matter what website I tried to visit. I toggled the security enterprise root to true, but it keeps changing itself back to false and this isn't even an option for my wife on stable. So far the only solution is to disable https filtering for firefox in AdGuard, and why would I want to do that?
