I prefer not to reinstall FF over top of the installed version.

(I'm the OP)

Hello.

You have multiple ways of updating Firefox:

- go into Help > Check for Updates... and follow the steps; - download the latest version off of getfirefox.com and install it over (in the same folder) or besides (in a different folder) your current installation (no data will be lost); - download the latest version off of getfirefox.com, uninstall your current version of Firefox, and install the latest version (no data will be lost on uninstallation, unless you tell the uninstaller to delete your private data);

Now, I don't know if your Firewall will give you trouble on any of these solutions. You may want to disable it or contact your system/network administrator for support.

The firewall blocks d/l of all executables. I'd like to download the updater at home so I can bring it in on a thumb drive. Not the full installer, just the incremental update

I don't believe it's possible to download the incremental update. But you can simply install with the normal installer over your current installation. That shouldn't be a problem.
