Tried to upgrade to Firefox Sync 1.5. Restarted Firefox five times, won't install, still in install queue and wants to restart. What now?

Had an earlier version of Sync, it forced me to upgrade to 1.5, it is now hanging in the install queue.

You can delete the files extensions.* (extensions.rdf, extensions.cache, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite , if they exist) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry. New files will be created when required.

If you see disabled extensions that are not compatible on the next start in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the "Find Updates" button to do a compatibility check.
