When I complete fields in websites I have visited before, particularly those for shopping, I do not want firefox to remember areas such as name, address, numbers & especially credit card details. How can I turn of this auto complete prompt?

To stop Firefox from remembering form data do this:

  1. In the Tools menu select Options to open the Options dialog
  2. Select the Privacy panel
  3. Set "Firefox will" to "Use custom settings for history"
  4. De-select the setting "Remember search and form history"

You will have to remove already saved data via Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox

Tools > Clear Recent History: "Form & Search History" (you may need to click the Details button)

Thank you very much!!!! This solved my problem!!
