I had to do a full format to my hard drive, and then re-install all programmes. When I downloaded fire fox and re-installed it, all bookmarks had gone.Is there anyway I can get them back, as I had not written all of them down,

Unless you backed them up to an external device before doing the re-format, or were using Firefox Sync before the re-format, your bookmarks are gone.

Oh! Ok, I just saved my files on a memory stick, and as I had never had to re-format my computer before, did not realize the consequences. But thank-you!

I have old backup from a few months ago, but I recently had mine synced with my Iphone 4, I still have the bookmarks on my Iphone, now how do I get them to sync back to my freshened computer. I dont want to lose them and have to try and find them again, I have my sync key, I just dont know how to do it.

Thanks for your time and help with this :)

I had Sync actively installed prior to having to reinstall windows XP. But how the **** do I retrieve what I have stored on Sync??? And PLEASE don't tell me it's impossible!!! If sync won't allow me to retrieve previous information and settings, then what the **** good is it???

Get the FEBE addon. It saves all of your bookmarks and Firefox settings. All you have to do is follow the instructions and save the file to an external drive. When you install Firefox again just get the FEBE application again and it will use the file to restore your entire browser.
