I cannot save my passwords. The popup comes up but nothing happens when I ask it to REMEMBER PASSWORD.
I made sure I could save passwords and that they are not being removed when I close Firefox.
I cannot get Firefox to REMEMBER passwords.
This just started happening.
I noticed that all of the passwords I had asked it to REMEMBER yesterday went into the EXCEPTIONS area when I had asked that they be REMEMBERED.
I have been using Firefox for a long long time and I moved this profile and its contents from my XP machine 3 days ago -
Please help me get this to function. No problems with this feature on my XP machine.
Thank you.

- Make sure that you not run Firefox in (permanent) Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode.
- You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
- To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
- Uncheck: [ ] "Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session"
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
