"History" is taking up 1.5" of my screen! How do I get rid of it? It won't let me delete/customize it or resize any smaller.

When I upgraded Firefox it added a toolbar I don't want. I figured out how to get rid of it, but I can't get rid of the giant HISTORY bar on the left side that takes up 1.5" of my screen space.

I tried to use Customize to drag it off but it won't let me, and it won't resize any smaller than it is. I don't want this History on my screen. How do I get rid of this???????

Have your cursor hovering over the gray lined, marked in red on the screenshot below, and click it when the two arrows show, and drag it as you wish

Thanks. I tried that. It won't go any smaller than 1.5", but it will go larger.

You, sir, are a genius! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! You rock, and have no idea how much that history bar pissed me off.

You're welcome.

I clicked the SOLVED button and got an error message, but the "solved" disappeared so I hope it gave you credit for that resolution.
