Secrurity padlock is not showing on secure sites since I updated too Firefox 5

A padlock symbol used to appear in the header part of the screen when visiting a secure site such as a bank, this does not now happen.

Beginning with Firefox 4, the padlock is no longer a part of Firefox; it can give users a false sense that a site is secure by not supplying all of the information about a site. Familiarize yourself with the Site Identity Button in Firefox:

You can install an add-on to show a padlock in the URL/Location/Address bar:
