New tabs open in new window or in a pre-existing window that was not currently being used.

What has been happening is that I was running two windows of Firefox at the same time and when trying to open a new tab, the new tab would open in the window that I wasn't currently using. Afterwards I closed one window and upon trying to open links in a new tab, instead it would open a new window.

I have checked the option settings that opening a new window would open a new tab instead is on, which it is.

My hunch is that one of your extensions is causing that to happen.
