The "bonk" sound made by Mozilla drives me crazy. How do I silance it?

I suppose there is a way to customize sounds in settings, but I can't find a way to get there.

I don't think mozilla has a boink sound. It's probably another program on your computer or a certain website :)

Firefox comes with one sound, for the Find bar, and that is a "beep".

Type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter.
If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.

Filter - accessibility.typeaheadfind.enablesound = double-click it to toggle it to False
