Sorry, I don't know of any add-on or setting to save passwords without asking.

That would also be a security issue as it would be possible that someone could enable that setting and later check which passwords were stored.

Well, FF used to do this just fine. And since I have a password on my user account to log-in, why do I need this on my browser.

Updates are great and all, but not when they take away behavior we once had WITHOUT an option to keep it the way it was.

Programmers/Designers should STOP making decisions for us.
