Firefox does not load, instead it gives me an error and asks to send a report. I have sent 6-10 reports and not response. Can I just reload the website. Although then I loose all my bookmarks, etc. so I'd rather fix what I have.

the error box says Mozilla crash reporter. It says Firefox will try to restart with tabs and windows when it restarts. Then when I restart, it crashes again. How can I restart it without it trying to restore that session? I would like to not lose my toolbar and bookmarks by reinstalling.

An ordinary re-install of Firefox will not result in loss of toolbars or bookmarks, however it will not necessarily help with the crashing problem.

Sometimes you may get automated responses after certain crashes, but more usually you have to take further action yourself to sort out the problem.

Firefox will try to restore tabs the first time it crashes, but if it quickly crashes again then the second time it will instead give you the restore screen of options, at the ottom of that is an option to restart a fresh session of firefox, instead of trying to restore the tabs, or you may selectively choose which tabs to restore. Are you able to see any patern to the crashes, are they for instance when using a particular site, and do crashes happen close to any other particular event.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
