Downloaded and installed firefox 7.01 and I tried to create a new yahoo email address and it says that java needs to be enabled. I went to tools, add ons and it says that Java Console is incompatible with 7.01 So what do I do now to create an email address in yahoo???

Is this the error you see? Error Message: You need to have Javascript enabled in order to use Yahoo! Mail

If so, see Settings for web content, pop-ups, fonts, and languages to make sure that Enable JavaScript is checked. If that's already checked, you may have a Firefox extension like NoScript that is blocking JavaScript for Yahoo Mail. See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems.

To avoid confusion:

The Java plugin that you see in "Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" is used to run Java applets.
You only need the Java Console extension (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) if you want to check and debug Java applets.
