1. After auto updates to your latest version (now 19.0) my browser keeps coming up with no reload current page option and no way to add one. How to fix?

This is a recurring problem. Firefox will auto - update, then come up with no RELOAD icon and no way to add one from any of the customization options I can see. I cant even find the option in any of the drop down menus. How do I fix this??? Better yet, why not add it to your customization menu or provide the option in one of your drop down menus as an alternative when there is no other way to reload the current page?

2. I also have a second question: My auto-spell checker within Hotmail no longer works/recognizes anything to fix. This is not a Hotmail issue, as it works with other browsers and used to work with your browser. I tried reinstalling the latest version of Firefox and that didn't fix the problem. Do I have to completely uninstall the previous version first? Do you have any other suggestions for how I might fix this problem? THANKS - Jon Vore

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

Current Firefox versions use a combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is positioned at the right end of the location bar.

  • During the page load process it shows as a Stop button and after the loading has finished the button is changed to a Reload button.
  • If you type in the location bar then that button becomes a Go button.

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible:

  • Firefox > Options
  • "View > Toolbars" (press F10 to display a hidden menu bar)

Open the Customize window to set which toolbar items to display:

  • Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout
  • View > Toolbars > Customize
  • If missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
  • If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up

You can also check for problems with the localstore.rdf file that stores the toolbar customization.
