How change PPPoE to DHCP connection with desktop NIC?
Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20) Ethernet connection directly to Cisco cable modem, i.e., no intervening router/hub/switch. Windows 7 Firefox 22.0 ISP requires DHCP setting. How do I change PPPOE to DHCP?

DHCP is used to assign IP addresses dynamically to networked devices. Firefox connects to the network through Windows, and as far as I know, doesn't have a setting to independently interact with a DHCP server.
Therefore, I think this question would be better addressed to a forum with networking experts and/or Windows experts. You could try this one: http://windowssecrets.com/forums/
