when i play a youtube video in nightly brower and the video is finished , it repeats it self from the beginning then finishes and repeats again and again. so how can i solve this problem, because repeating videos consumes my internet bandwidth specially if i was in facebook and played a video in the facebook page itself. note also that i have download an addon that allows full youtube video buffer (youtube center addon) so the solution in my case is not pausing the video. thank you.

Hi outsorts,

I tried to make this happen with a video and I browsed to two more pages and the audio began again. I freaked out and pressed back a few times. What steps are are you taking when this happens?

  • Are you logged into a new profile on Firefox? ie are there any add ons that allow video control?
  • Are you logged into your youtube account? This will let me know if there are any cookies with the video player. Make sure you do not have a channel on.
  • How long do you leave the tab open, and if you open up web console or Firebug, are there any error messages that come up when the audio starts again?

Cheers,

Rachel

Or a quick check to make sure it it not a corrupt cookie is to reload the webpage while bypassing the cache using one of the following steps:

  • Hold down the Shift key and click the Reload button with a left click.

OR

  • Press Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows and Linux)
  • Press Command + Shift + R (Mac)
