i can't find my Firefox profile folder on my mac, neither the manager folder, and also can't download a new firefox
i have a mac, and at one point my firefox didn't respond anymore. i forced quit, and since then have been getting the message : "your firefox cannot be loaded, it may be missing or inaccessible". i tried out many of the instructions but nothing worked. i went to: ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles folder - but there couldn't find any Firefox in the Application Support, neither the Profiles folder. i couldn't use "the Profile Manager to create and remove Firefox profiles" because i didn't find the Profile manager. from the same reason i could reset Firefox. i deinstalled it, and tried few times to to reinstall- but with no success - i keep getting the same message again. i don't know what to do, meanwhile i moved working with Safari, but i do miss firefox. anyone can help?

Mac OS Yosemite hides the library directories, but there is a way to see them again. See this page:
my Firefox folder disappeared already before i upgraded to OS Yosemite, and is still missing. i can access my user library, and to the Application Support folder, but can't find there anything from Firefox. that's the problem. i'd deinstalled Firefox (or at least tried) but wasn't able to reinstall Firefox successfully. it keeps giving me the same message with the same error. thanks for trying to help :-)

Unless Yosemite is very different from earlier Mac OS versions, you should be able to install Firefox. Have you tried using an installer from here?

Download Firefox Full Installer For All languages And Systems {web link} Save the file. Then;
Using your file browser, open the Programs folder on your computer.
Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.
Look for, and rename any Mozilla and Firefox folders by adding .old to them.
Now run the full installer.
thanks for your reply, but unfortunately there is no Firefox in my application support, nor firefox in Mozilla. see both attachments. what a strange situation, isn't it?

Hello, see if you are able for a Clean reinstall. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
Note: You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
- Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from finitarry's above reply (full installer) and save the setup file to your computer.
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
#*Mac: Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox
Edit : 2.Delete the Firefox installation folder from /Applications/Firefox.app
3.Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox
Thank you.
